Location: the hotel was not far from 2 separated and beautiful japanese gardens, the central bus/train station, and public transport. The twin room was authentic with the beautiful garden, a nice view, for instance. The service was great, I had 4 relaxing nights here...
Wi-Fi was bad, made me a little nervous.

The place is so quiet and peaceful, that during the night only the sound of the river and the crickets I could hear. True bless for the mind. Even if one night I have arrived late and the restaurant was closed, they did an amazing sushi and miso soup for me. The staff was all the time very friendly, kind and helpful. They did all to make me feel like at home. And I did! :) Thank you so much!

Very friendly staff, quiet place. Nice campus.
A bit of a commute from central Kyoto. Wi-fi was a little shaky but they did have a free-use, wired computer. A bit musty smelling (in the humid summer months).

I chose this hotel for attending a seminar in Kyoto and it provided a comfortable and convenient stay. The staff was courteous, the rooms were clean, and the facilities were well-maintained. I particularly enjoyed the peaceful garden, which provided a pleasant and relaxing environment.
The only service that I missed for my work was a dedicated business center. It would have been helpful to have access to a printer and other office equipment, especially for last-minute document preparation.

This is a really nice ryokan. I enjoyed my stay a lot and can highly recommend it! The hotel staff is very very friendly.
It is a fairly long way from the city. Not a huge problem though thanks to good bus connection.

Everything was perfect and I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay near Kyoto. The staff was really friendly and comprehensive. A+
The only bad thing about it, is if you don't want to ride by bus, it's 40 minutes by walk from the nearest train station.

This traditional Japanese Inn was exactly what I had expected, including the garden. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing a tour and transport information.
It's located on the outskirts of Kyoto and quite a distance into the city. However, there is a nearby bus station (100m) which is direct to the centre, as well as to Kyoto Station, which is on the other side of town.
